Culture Shock Dance Center

Culture Shock Dance Center opened in 2003 in San Diego, CA under the ownership of Angie Bunch and Joe Savant. Classes include Hip Hop for all ages and levels, Break Dancing, Burlesque, Contemporary, Jazz, Belly Dancing, House, and Popping. CSDC is also home to 5 Culture Shock Dance Troupes, Cookies, SGBM, PGK, Frenemies, 220, Jazzercise, Body Sculpting, West Coast Cabaret, Finest City Improv, and Leah Scarritt's Vocal Ensemble.
Master Classes are offered every Tuesday @ 8:30pm for only $10! Open Floor is also an option for House, Breakin', and Old School Hip Hop for $3.

Hip Hop dance refers to dance styles primarily danced to Hip Hop music or that have evolved as part of the Hip Hop culture. This includes a wide range of styles notably Breaking, Locking, and Popping. If you are new to hip hop dance we recommend that you start with Intro To Hip Hop.
